As rural Nebraskans, we know well the beauty and value of our four distinct weather seasons!  

The 2023 Annual Report is a glimpse into some of the many activities adn accomplishiments aroud the District.  The "seasons" theme fittingly conveys the effort in the region adn hightlights some of the many successes achieved in community and economic development.

2022 Annual Report

This value drives our work. The many stories highlighted in the 2022 Annual Report  demonstrate steps taken across our region that led to great successes and cause for celebration. Economic Development is generally about building businesses and creating jobs. This year, however, a shortage of workforce has shifted our focus to supporting housing, childcare, and broadband/technology areas. These quality of life issues facing SCEDD communities and businesses hinder their ability to recruit workforce. Capitalizing on opportunities available helps us ensure we offer the very best of “The Good Life.”

2021 Annual Report

SCEDD’s internal motto for communities has been ‘Activity Breeds Activity,’ as a proven formula for success. This year we are featuring

champions in our communities – those that reached out to start something special, extended beyond their comfort zone, and in some cases have taken repeated leaps over several years to invest in themselves.
